Life's too short for just "okay".
Welcome to the Good Life Chronicles, where living a good life takes center stage.
Have you ever caught yourself thinking:
Is this it?
Is this as good as it gets?
The moment sinks in even further when someone asks with an eager grin, âHow are you?!â and you manage only, âOkay⌠I mean, Iâm fine.â
If so, youâre not alone. Psychologists call this state languishing. Itâs when youâre not depressed, but youâre not thriving either. It feels like living life in neutral: days blur together, energy is low, and joy feels out of reach. Itâs not painful enough to force a change, but over time, it starts to weigh heavily.
But life is too short to settle for just okay. The Good Life is about more than getting through the day, itâs about habits that help us flourish, feel alive, purposeful, and connected. Itâs when we can finally meet the excitement of others and say with conviction: âIâm doing really great actually! This week, I did...â
Introducing the Dubai 30x30 Happiness Challenge
If you havenât heard of it, the Dubai 30x30 Fitness Challenge is a citywide event where residents commit to 30 minutes of daily movement for 30 days. Millions take part every November.
This year, inspired by that movement, weâre introducing the 30x30 Happiness Challenge, a chance to âexerciseâ your mental health the way you exercise your physical health. Because fitness isnât only about muscles and miles. Itâs about mindset too.
And the best part? You donât need to live in Dubai to join. Wherever you are in the world, you can take part with us this November.
Why Happiness?
Happiness isnât fluff. Research shows that:
-
Happier people live longer (women by 6 years, men by 11).
-
Happier employees are more productive, collaborative, and innovative.
-
Happier students learn faster and retain more.
-
Happier people sleep better, bounce back from setbacks, and enjoy stronger relationships.
Happiness is both preventative and promotive and itâs a skill you can build with practice. (But, you knew that already, it's why you're here in the first place!)
How It Works
For 30 days, youâll practice simple, science-backed habits from positive psychology. Each one takes just a few minutes:
⨠Write down 3 good things before bed.
⨠Reconnect with a friend.
⨠Step outside and savor a moment in nature.
⨠Practice gratitude in small, deliberate ways.
Individually, theyâre quick. Together, they rewire your brain to notice more joy, meaning, and possibility in everyday life.
To get involved, and for less than the cost of a cafe latte each day!,
đ Grab the Individual Playbook from Amazon here.
đ¨âđŠâđ§ Do the activities with your kids, partner, or friends.

Why Now?
Because waiting for life to move past "okay" is a gamble. The antidote to languishing isnât more scrolling or working harder â itâs small, deliberate choices that add up to a better life.
đ Donât settle for âfine.â Join the 30x30 Happiness Challenge this November â no matter where you are â and letâs build the habits of happiness together.
