Life is short. Why waste time being unhappy, guessing how to live better or coasting along to see what happens when science can help? Positive psychology is the science behind positive emotions, life satisfaction, meaning in life, engagement, good character and more. As a researcher in the field and psychologist with experience in both positive and mainstream psychology, I’ve seen the difference it can make. From individuals sitting in depression groups to sending postcards saying, "I finally took that trip", the positive can elevate people, as well as organizations, to their best selves. Science can help us make better choices and it’s why we rely on evidence for all that we do.
