Happiness Matters
Applying the science of wellbeing to help people and systems function at their best.
Dr. Louise Lambert
I understand how difficult life can be. I spent years working as a psychologist addressing complex clinical challenges, including violence, addiction, eating disorders, divorce, and depression. I am not naïve about suffering.
That experience is precisely why I shifted my focus toward wellbeing. Most people are not broken. They are under-skilled in the psychological capabilities that allow them to function well under pressure. These capabilities can be taught, practiced, and strengthened.
With more than 50 peer-reviewed publications, my research has examined predictors of happiness in the UAE using Gallup data, the relationship between wellbeing and health outcomes, and the links between wellbeing and healthcare satisfaction. I authored the MENA region’s first positive psychology textbook, designed and evaluated wellbeing courses in schools, primary healthcare, and organizations, and serve as Editor of the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology.
Today, I work with leaders and institutions across the Gulf to translate the science of wellbeing into measurable capability. Happiness is not a slogan. It is a set of evidence-based skills that influence health, performance, learning, and life satisfaction.
If you are serious about building those capabilities, you are in the right place.

As Managing Director of Global Communications Agency Middle East, I specialize in developing wellbeing strategies that align social development, corporate responsibility, strategic communications, and economic prosperity. My focus is not only on individual wellbeing, but on how wellbeing frameworks influence institutional performance, national reputation, and long-term growth.
Before entering the private sector, I served for nearly two decades as a Canadian diplomat. My work included advancing wellbeing as a pillar of sustainable development at the United Nations, contributing to Canada’s Middle East foreign policy at the Office of the Prime Minister, and serving as Deputy Ambassador of Canada to the United Arab Emirates.
For over twenty years, I have lived and worked in the UAE. Alongside diplomatic service, I have worked as a strategy consultant at PwC and taught diplomacy and international affairs at university level. I co-author research and policy work exploring the role of wellbeing in governance, economic planning, and institutional resilience.
My work is grounded in the belief that wellbeing is not peripheral to economic development, but is a strategic driver of it.

Professor, Western Washington University, USA, Co-Editor, International Journal of Wellbeing, Founding President, Work & Organizations Division, International Positive Psychology Association, Founder, Western Positive Psychology Association
"I have collaborated with Louise on many projects over the last 10 years and she always amazes me. She lives positive psychology in its true sense – pursuing excellence with passion, and with a desire to strive for wellbeing in the UAE, and more broadly in MENA. Louise is a leader who is unafraid to dive into unchartered waters. She has pioneered many ‘firsts’ – the first positive psychology journal in the Middle East, scholarly regional book on positive psychology, manual for positive psychology instructors, positive education program in the UAE and Kuwait, positive psychology division, etc. She is easy to work with, open to new ideas, and has immense determination to see projects through to the end – qualities that are fundamental to leading innovation. I look forward to seeing how her practical work unfolds and the positive impact she will make in the near future."

"Louise has been instrumental in getting our Positive Education program off the ground by helping us create a school wide curriculum. She is also leading the research that is taking place to measure wellbeing among our students to ensure that the program is effective. I really cannot speak highly enough of her and the impact she’s had at our school. She has led staff training and the response from staff was overwhelmingly positive. It was the perfect start to our school year and gave us the momentum and drive we were looking for. She is extremely professional and organised but above all else is very personable and diligent. Her subject knowledge is outstanding and she always presents the very latest research. We feel incredibly privileged to work with her and it is a relationship we hope will run long into the future."
